SHADOW PLAY
Steve Robinson is a British ex-pat lost in America…Ed Woltil is a Florida boy who has always felt that England was his true musical homeland. Both stubborn believers in the old-fashioned concept of the record album, they teamed up with the quaint aim of marrying a disparate collection of song styles that somehow sit nicely together when heard in sequence from beginning to end — and 2015’s Cycle was the result.
It’s only taken seven years (!!!) for their follow-up to surface, but if it’s any consolation to fans and critics for the long wait, Steve and Ed haven’t really changed a bit…and legendary XTC guitarist Dave Gregory is even back to guest on two tracks (Tracks 3 and 4, Life On a Trampoline and Ultramarine.

CYCLE
Steve Robinson is a British ex-pat lost in America…Ed Woltil is a Florida boy who has always felt that England was his true musical homeland. Both stubborn believers in the old-fashioned concept of the record album, they teamed up with the quaint aim of marrying a disparate collection of song styles that somehow sit nicely together when heard in sequence from beginning to end — and 2015’s Cycle was the result.
Guest contributors on Cycle include musical luminaries Dave Gregory of XTC, renowned Tampa Bay area guitarist and producer Steve Connelly, ace session bassist Andy Irvine, and the incomparable Dave Mattacks, legendary member of Fairport Convention whose drumming skills have also graced recordings by Richard Thompson, XTC, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Elton John, to name-drop just a few.
